Baillie Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund makes COVID-19 funds available Published on 27th May 2020

The Baillie Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund is delighted to announce that it has made a sum of money available for a fast-track funding stream for organisations working to support vulnerable people in their local communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Fund is seeking expressions of interest from groups across Caithness which require additional support or funding to enable them to carry out support activities for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding is intended to be as fast and flexible as possible, as the Fund recognises that the needs of communities and the organisations supporting them are changing on a regular basis at this time.

Groups interested in applying are invited to contact the Fund at enquiries@bailliecommunityfund.org.uk to give a brief outline of their proposal and an estimation of their funding requirement. The Fund team will then process these as quickly as possible and invite formal applications to support eligible projects.

The Fund recognises that many groups outwith its usual catchment area are doing important and valuable work to support their communities at this time, and it wants to act to support these groups.

This is a difficult time for all across Caithness, and the Fund feels it is important that everyone pulls together to offer what support they can to those in need.

The Fund also remains open for applications from individuals and groups in the West Caithness Community Council area, as well as from eligible educational and sporting organisations across the county. Those interested in applying for funding via the usual process can do so by 13 July for consideration at the next Board meeting, and full details of eligibility can be found on the Fund website.

Any groups or individuals interested in applying for either funding stream are invited to contact the Fund in the first instance, by emailing enquiries@bailliecommunityfund.org.uk.
